SunriSE is a community nursery for babies and children aged from 3 months to 5 years old. We believe that every child is unique and deserves a good start in life. Our children are nurtured and cared for by experienced staff in a specially designed space to maximise their potential.

We welcome children and families from all backgrounds into our nursery, and are proud to be run by and for the community. This means we have a genuinely diverse group of staff and children, and work to be inclusive and open throughout the nursery.

Our setting is in an ideal, built-for-purpose space, which was designed specifically with the needs of a nursery in mind, and with the movement and safety of early years children as a priority. Our building and grounds are bright, cheerful and accessible whilst being comfortable and secure.

Being a not-for-profit nursery, our charges are designed to be fair to parents, and we have various policies in place to make our fee structures supportive to families. If you would like to know more about how the nursery operates as a charity you can read more here.

As well as taking care of your child, we consider the nursery to play an important role in the children’s lives - where they can learn, socialise, express themselves and develop independence. Our care is based on Learning through Play, and follows the EYFS guidance for development and reaching potential. We adhere to Ofsted’s standards on quality childcare, and consider Safeguarding and Welfare to be of the utmost importance.

Ofsted is the regulatory body ensures quality and effectiveness in the care of children and young people, in education and skills for all ages. SunriSE Community Nursery was visited by Ofsted in March 2019 to ensure that we effectively support children’s learning and development.  The inspection also covered our adherence to the statutory requirement within the framework. We were delighted to achieve Good in all areas, with inspectors noting that staff and leaders "are motivated to achieve the best possible outcomes for all children" Please see here for further details of the report.
